The Comic Sidekick: We couldn't be at Comic Con, so we brought Comic Con to you
For the past two years, Dark Neon has set up shop at Comic Con South Africa. Honestly, it's been one of our favorite events of the year. This year. we won't have a booth on the floor. But we didn't want to let Comic Con week pass without doing something for the fans, cosplayers, and collectors who've supported us there.
So we're calling it The Comic Sidekick - our way of saying "we missed you too"

The Special
From Wednesday 24 September to Wednesday 30 September Join us in store for The Comic Sidekick Special, any comic, anime, gaming, or pop-culture related (anything Comic Con related) tattoo booked at Dark Neon gets 20% OFF, on a minimum spend of R800.
Whether it's a portrait of your favourite hero, a symbol from your go-to fandom, or a full sleeve tribute to the series that got you through lockdown — if it's got comic con energy, it qualifies.
And if you're feeling lucky, we've still got our gacha spin machines in store, loaded with Pokémon tattoos for anyone who wants to take a chance on a random pick.
The Raffle
Here's how to earn entries into the raffle:
Book any comic con related tattoo during the promo (24–30 September) → 5 entries, automatically to the Comic Sidekick Raffle
Spot us at Comic Con on Sunday + post a photo tagging @dvrkneon → 1 entry (account can't be on private) to the raffle
You can stack both - get tattooed and find us on the floor for the best odds.
The Prizes
1st place: Tattoo voucher (R500) and an Otaku Clothing Anime shirt (R650)
2nd place: Otaku clothing shirt (R200) and some Anime accessories (R300)
3rd place: Anime 3D A4 poster (R300)
Winners will be announced on our Instagram the Saturday after Comic Con 3 October 2026.

We're not exhibiting this year, but we're still coming through as fans on Sunday 27 September. Look out for the Dark Neon crew, we'll be in our shop shirts and carrying something hard to miss. Spot us on the floor, say hi, and grab a sticker or freebie - then post your tagged photo for a one raffle entry.
